Allerion became interested in performing a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to help visualize the transient flow patterns inside the oil tank during the DS Jet’s multi-day operational cycle. CFD allowed Allerion to view otherwise impossible to see flow patterns in a large storage tank, as the man-hole mounted DS Jet nozzle is swept through multiple positions over 38 hours.
