A significant portion of SimuTech Group | ROI Engineering's technical activity focuses on the Sales and Support of our offering of Engineering Finite Analysis (FEA) (FE) software, with our primary focus being ANSYS. ROIE's software support includes training, mentoring, and consulting (FE consulting or FEA Consulting) services centered on these products.

Pre-sales support includes technical presentations of ROIE's capabilities, technical assessment of a customer's current situation, and software demonstrations where appropriate. Post-sales support includes training, mentoring, and FE and FEA consulting; and we offer these either on-site or out facilites in either Toronto, Montreal or Calgary. Also included as a post-sales activity, is our software telephone support, which is considered to be amongst the best in the industry.

MultiphysicsFSI (Fluid Structure Interaction), and Electromagnetics

ANSYS Multiphysics software is a comprehensive coupled physics tool combining structural, thermal, computational fluid dynamics (CFD),acoustic and electromagnetic simulation capabilities in a single engineering software solution. Capabilities include Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) and close coupled thermal- mechanical analysis.

Structural/Thermal (stress) Analysis Products

These classic ANSYS products form the backbone of the ANSYS Workbench offering and are used for linear and non-linear stress analysis , thermal transients, modal dynamics, and more.

Fluid (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Products

With the recent acquisition of FLUENT, ROIE now offers the world's most advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics software, Fluent and CFX. This combined software offering provides a very powerful and flexible general-purpose computational fluid dynamics (CFD) environment that can be used for engineering simulations of all levels of complexity. It offers a comprehensive range of physical models that can be applied to a broad range of industries and applications.

Electronics (ICE) Products (Thermal Management)

The ICE series of ANSYS Products are focused on thermal management for the electronics industry. ANSYS Iceboard software provides thermal analysis tools for simulating printed circuit boards (PCBs). ANSYS Icechip software addresses thermal optimization in the design phase by allowing analysts to accurately characterize chip packaging during design. ANSYS Icemax software, based on state-of-the-art finite volume field solver technologies, is an advanced parasitic extraction tool for analyzing complex IC package designs. ANSYS Icepak software addresses thermal management by predicting air flow and heat transfer at the component-level, board-level or cabinet-level. ANSYS Icepro is the MCAD-to-Icepak translation software that allows users to migrate from mechanical CAD design to ANSYS Icepak in the most efficient manner.

Explicit Analysis Products (Short Duration Events) ANSYS AUTODYN and ANSYS/LS-Dyna

ANSYS AUTODYN and ANSYS/LS-Dyna are powerful explicit analysis packages designed to model the non-linear dynamics of high speed events. The solvers are well suited for modeling solids, fluids, gases and the complex interaction between these phases. These explicit packages include Lagrange, Euler, ALE, and SPH solvers and allow the use of any combination to best represent the physics of the model. Advanced material models can simulate non-linear effects including rate-dependent properties and a variety of failure models. ANSYS AUTODYN is also used extensively for Explosion modeling.

Civil Engineering Design and Analysis: (CivilFEM with ANSYS)

CivilFem with ANSYS is a customized application for a wide range of Civil Engineering applications. Should your projects include bridges, tunnels, buildings, offshore structures, dams, etc., the unified environment of CivilFEM and ANSYS offers you the complete range of analysis types to address the most complex of civil and architectural problems.

Offshore Products – ANSYS AQWA and ANSYS ASAS

ANSYS AQWA software is a suite of integrated modules that addresses analysis requirements associated with hydrodynamics of many structures, including spars, mooring systems, and ships. ANSYS ASAS software is an offshore structural finite element system used to address the specific construction needs of offshore and marine engineers.

Advanced Meshing Products (ICEM CFD)

ROIE, through ANSYS, offers a comprehensive set of pre and post processing tools, with state of the art meshing capability. When only a high quality brick (hexahedral) mesh will do, we have both the advanced software needed in addition to the technical staff to make this possible. Not only can we show you how to do it, we can aid in the development of advanced meshing processes that have the potential of reducing month long meshing cycles to days or even hours.

Designer (Increased Productivity) Products

Through the many acquisitions that ANSYS has made there is now a collection of productivity tools available on the ANSYS Workbench. These products include optimization tools, mesh morphing tools, modules for advanced fatigue calculations, geometry manipulation and creation, geometry import and more.

Process Improvement (ANSYS EKM)

Recognizing the importance of improved collaboration between varying engineering departments, and the potential process optimization through simulation data management, ROIE not only was the early adoptor of the ANSYS EKM (Engineering Knowledge Management) solution, but is actively part of the advisory team for the product's future development. ANSYS EKM is a web-based data and process management solution that effectively organizes all simulation related information to help expedite product development.
